- Mundi - a Network Viewer based client with full support for PNI and Electric Office
- Pathfinder
Mundi Network Viewer Electric Office Support
Mundi provides additional behaviour focused specifically on the Office suites.
The Mundi Electric Office extensions include Electrical network tracing and visibility controls.
- Tracing.
Mundi enables the full Electric Office tracing functionality to be made from within a GE Network
Viewer
- Visualisation
Electric Office makes extension use of the visualisation to enable what is presented in the map
to reflect what is relevant.
This is done via options to control:
1. Colour by
2. Visibility (i.e. what is to be drawn)
Mundi greatly improves the performance by ensuring the visualisation is completely cached.
This will result much faster response times when a user (or any user) revisits the same area.
This is demonstrated below:
Mundi - Network Viewer Support
GE Network Viewer supplies tiled maps in the OGC WMTS format and is designed to be extended to enable the goal of “small focused apps” to be delivered.
We tend to think of these applications as more business-process and task-focused than just a generic solution.
The complete Mundi functionality can be delivered as a Network Viewer extension. This gives the best of both worlds where no Network Viewer behaviour is lost but is in fact extended along with a number additional REST services.
The cornerstone of Mundi is a consistent XML configuration. The configuration will drive the client configuration and what functionality is exposed. It is possible to swap on the fly between various roles. This enables small business task focused applications where appropriate to be used in conjunction with a more generic solution with the user interface morphing as required.
An introduction to Mundi can be found here:
The Mundi Network Viewer extensions include:
-
Caching
The caching has been extending to include all worlds and universes.
All non-geographic data now has the option of caching.
2. Spatial Contexts
Mundi extends the asset lister to support non-geographic contexts.
e.g. If you select a switch which exists within a Substation Internal a user has the option of view the Substation internal.
3. Layer Control
The Mundi Layer control enables relationships to be defined between layers.
This enables control of data where the visualisation may result in ambiguity if viewed in conjunction with another layer.
E.g. If flooding and land zoning data used some of the same colour palette selecting one would ensure the other is turned off.
Also useful when multiple Air Photos are available to ensure just one is drawn.
4. Explorer
Mundi provides a fully functioning Explorer.
The explorer has support for the usual Office Exports (Excel, Word etc) along with KML.
A sample KML export is shown below
5. KML
KML is supported within Mundi from an import and export point of view.
To import KML files it is as simple as dragging and dropping the file into Mundi to enable visualisation of the data.
KML files can also be created via exporting from the Explorer.
6. Measurer
Mundi provides a simple measurer tool implemented using trails.
Projection support is provided for the trail as required.
7. Plotting
Mundi provides a restful server side generated plotting.
